4 day weekend

Wow lots happened this weekend. It was so nice to have four days with Brandon and London. Brandon battled the Christmas lights and I have to laugh when I tell you this story. It has been a competition in our neighborhood to have the most lights up (spoken, or unspoken competition) We have one outlet in our carport and that is it for outside. Ha ha Brandon has been putting up lights here and there since before Halloween. Well Saturday he was putting more up and he came inside really frustrated. Because he had to string so many together the fuses kept blowing. He never really knew which one had blown. He did it about five or six times before he gave up for the night. He would find the fuse that was blown, replace it, then turn the lights back on.... and out went the lights. Poor guy. But our house does look great with the lights that work. :) Everyone will have to drive by! We put up the Christmas tree on Saturday and London was such a big help. Not sure our tree or wrapping job on our presents will make it to Christmas but I took a picture. :) Brandon and I went out Friday night for out "last night" together before he switched to the night shift. We headed to Lee's Mongolian in Ogden. It was all you can eat night. Well we both could only eat one bowl ha ha so kind of a waste of the all you can eat! Then we headed out to a couple stores to look at blow ups for our yard ( yeah yeah more Christmas decorations for outside) Then we went and picked up London and just went home and watched a movie. It was really fun and he is such a sweetie. Other then that it was a pretty easy going weekend. We just relaxed and spent time together. I know I say this ALL THE TIME... so sorry you have to hear it again. But I am so grateful for Brandon and our family. We have been together for 3 years and 1 month. I can't believe how fast it has gone by and all the memories we have made together. Things have fallen into place to make our life possible. I believe that Heavenly Father definitely paves the way if you let him. We have definitely not always taken the easy or short route together but we have taken the scenic route :) and I think that makes us that much closer. Love You All.

  1. That story about Brandon and the lights made me laugh. It reminded me of the Grizwalt (spell?) Christmas vacation movie where he keeps trying to put up the lights and then as soon as the family comes outside to see it, the lights burn out. haha. I wish Brandon would light a fire under Jess' butt to put up some lights at our house, Jess is being a bah-humbug about it =) How is Kayge feeling? Any better? Glad you guys had such a fun weekend together!!

And we MUST plan our gingerbread-house making night SOON!
