Where has the time gone!?

I can't believe I haven't posted since March. Sorry for everyone that ever looks. I am horrible at this. Our family is doing great. The kids are getting big. Kayge is such a big help to me and is such a good brother to London. Londons favorite word right now and she uses it no matter what you ask her. Our little family keeps growing. It seems crazy that 4 years ago I didn't even know Brandon. Things have all happened so fast but I am so grateful for him and the kids. We found out that we are having a boy! Brandon says that is good because he doesn't think that he has enough room in his heart for another little princess. Kayge recently moved to the basement into his own room. He is doing so well and is getting big. He will turn 4 in January and London will turn 2 in October. Hope all is well with everyone and I will start to post more.

Craziness!

Sorry it has been so long since I posted last. I honestly haven't even had a chance to stop and think. The kids are getting so big and fun! Kayge is a pro at riding his bike now and has fully adapted to living at our house full time. He has been such a blessing! And now I cannot imagine our household without my little man. London ha ha.... All I can do is laugh she is a terror! Into everything, on everything ALL THE TIME. Her new word is UH OH and she just jabbers like you understand what she is saying. Which we only do about 1% of the time. It is amazing how much they teach us and how smart they are! We took the kids to the park yesterday and played on the big toys and we had a picnic. It was fun to go spend some one on one time with the kids! Now for the big news. We will be adding a new addition to our family in Nov. Ha ha yes we are having ANOTHER baby and I am still trying to wrap my head around it. I just wonder if this baby will be anything like london and kayge or if he/she will be completely different! Brandon is doing good and has been aerating lawns. We are trying to get our fence up and are trying to get piece by piece slowly when we have a little extra money. It will be nice to have it up so the kids can play in the back yard. London thinks it is really funny to see how fast she can run across the road... Mom doesn't think it is so funny. All in all things are well at the Searle's and we couldn't ask for anymore blessings. We hope everyone is doing well and I will try to post more!

January

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. ~Herm Albright

Ha ha ha I thought that quote was pretty funny... thought I would share. January was good. We all had colds or so we thought then someone told us to change our furnace filter ha ha, and magically we are all cured! SO if anyone is feeling a little under the weather when u wake up, try that! My big man Kayger turned 3 on January 15... We had a pirate Birthday and I will say I am pretty proud of the cake I made him. It was a treasure chest cake. It was awesome. Poor Brandon sprained his ankle last Monday... He missed the last stair on the steps, it was terrible. We all keep telling him he needs to come up with a better story then that though... like he got chased by a bear or something. He is off his crutches now, but it still gets very swollen but he is a great sport and hasn't missed a beat of family life! London. I can only describe her with one word... ATTITUDE. Holy cow this girl is opinionated ha ha. She doesn't want any help with anything and will throw a fit if you do. Its funny because before Brandon and I got pregnant with her we asked ourselves if we should reproduce because we are both pretty opinionated ha ha this is what we got. She is so funny and laughs all the time and thinks she is pretty funny. Her new thing to do is to stand on anything she can... the chair... her little table... anything she can. It scares me to death but she loves it. She is very caring though and takes care of her little babies. She gives them lots of loves and kisses. Kayge is doing really well! He is thriving at our home and is the sweetest little thing. He always helps his sister with stuff and he tries to keep her out of trouble. I was driving the kids to the babysitters this morning and we were listening to the radio and Kayge said "Mom, I love you." I said "I love you too Kayge" he then said "yeah I know, and I love Daddy, and London and Dez too." It melted my heart. Kayge has a big heart and will cuddle any chance he can get or give you a hug and a kiss. I am so grateful to have such a beautiful and happy family. I love how we bring each other closer. . . The times we are home together is so amazing because all we do is laugh and play. I can't believe how fast life goes by, the kids are growing too fast. I hope everyone else is doing as well as we are. Life is great, So enjoy it!

Don't know what we would do without good family and friends. I am so grateful for my family. Love them to death....

Christmas

What a trying month. I can honestly say that we are emotionally exhausted right now. I AM SO GRATEFUL for my family. Brandon and I have had to lean on each other for support, and our kids have been through so much. I am so happy to know that our trials have brought us closer together as a family. I know that us being together as a family and knowing we are all safe is the only thing I could have ever wanted for Christmas. The only thing. I never realized how much joy my children and husband could bring to my life or how reading them a story before bed could be so comforting to ME. They say that the mother is the rock in the family. My family is my support. Waking up every morning to their smiling faces and kisses reassures me that everything will be OK and that they know I love them. My kids mean the world to me and I am so happy to know they are happy. I never understood a mothers love until I became a mother myself. The only thing I wanted for Christmas is to have my family close and I got exactly what I wanted. I am so grateful for that. The story of the Christmas shoes has always touched mine and Brandon's hearts. Life isn't about you. It's about helping others. If we can instill that into our children, won't the world be a better place? Even if we incorporate that into our lives today... It is one more day we are not feeling sorry for ourselves. When you think about someone else... you don't think of yourself. No matter what religion you are... It revolves around the same thing. Christ. Jesus Christ gave his life up to give us more. To let us make choices whether right or wrong but it is unconditional love that makes him so great. No matter how far away we stray from him, we are always welcome back. Christ gave his life for us. Shouldn't we give ours through service and love? This will truly make us happy. So I challenge everyone this Christmas to do something for someone else. Do it anonymously. . . You don't need someones praise to know how it makes you feel. Maybe you are the person that will make a difference in someones life. Why not take the chance...

The Christmas Shoes
It is almost Christmas time, there I stood in another line tryin' to buy that last gift or two not really in the Christmas mood. Standing right in front of me, was a little boy waiting anxiously pacing round like little boys do. And in his hand he held a pair of shoes. His clothes were worn and old, he was dirty from head to toe and when it came his time to pay I couldn't believe what I heard him say
"Sir, I want to by these shoes, for my mama, please it's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size. Could you hurry, sir Daddy said there's not much time you see Moma's been sick for quite awhile and I know these shoes would make her smile and I want her to look beautiful, If Mamma meets Jesus tonight"
He counted pennies for what seemed like years. Then the cashier said, "son, there's not enough here." He searched his pockets frantically then he turned and he looked at me. He said, "Mama always made Christmas good at our house through most years she did without. Tell me sir what am I going to do somehow I've got to buy these Christmas shoes." I just had to help him out, and as I laid the money down I never forgot the look on his face when he said, "Mama's gonna look so great"
I knew I'd caught a glimpse of heaven's love as he thanked me and ran out. I know that God had sent that little boy my way to remind me just what Christmas is all about.
